The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sandeep Mittal, said that sport was the best tool to increase the efficiency of students, and office-goers.
Distributing prizes to the winners of RT. Chari memorial tournament held here on Sunday, he said there was a misconception among a section of people that participating in sports would divert the attention of students from studies. There were a number of examples in which those who excelled in sports had also performed well in their studies. The mind and body would be rejuvenated and all organs would function well if they were engaged in sport activities daily. Hence, he said the people of all age groups should play atleast one game.
